Nazim: Sudanese Hip Hop Artist on Rapping and Social Justice

Nazim is a spoken word artist based in Montreal. The fight against the status-quo is rooted in his lyrics as he shares his thoughts and disagreements centering around politics and social justice issues.

The Sudanese artist aims to continue the tradition of keeping a political presence within hip-hop. His track, “I’m From,” the first song he ever recorded, was written in Sudan in the months before the Arab Spring.

Nazim recently released a new track titled “Searching for Sugar Man” featuring Flying Fisher and Mercyy.
