Concordia’s women’s soccer team ran into a buzzsaw on Friday night at the Université de Montreal’s CEPSUM, where they were convincingly beat by a score of 3-0 by the Université de Montreal Carabins. UdeM had three goals from three separate players, as they remain unbeaten in league play with a 2-0-1 record, while the Stingers fell to 1-2.

Men’s Rugby: Stingers Trip Over First Hurdle, Fall to Carabins
The second home game of the men’s rugby season was regarded as the team’s “first real test”, according to head coach Clive Gibson, as this game would be important in order to impose themselves against the other teams in their pool. However, the result did not go Concordia’s way, and the men’s rugby team fell to the Université de Montreal Carabins 19-16 on Friday night at Concordia Stadium.

Feb. 28 was the last day of the Concordia Stingers women’s hockey league campaign. The team lost their playoff game to the Université de Montréal Carabins and exited the post-season festivities. For some of those Stingers, it was the curtain call for their hockey careers as they ventured off into new passions, but not for Audrey Morand and Alyssa Sherrard.

This past Sunday, the Bishop’s Gaiters were their latest victim after defeating them by a score of 80-7 at Concordia Stadium. In their last two games, the Stingers have scored 137 points.
