Sabrina for CSU
CSU Elections—it’s that time of the year again. Everybody should pay close attention to these elections, especially during these tough times for students (tuition hikes, Concordia being renowned for bad governance).
Among the numerous people you will hear speeches from in the next days, I would like to bring your attention on one outstanding candidate for engineering rep: Sabrina D’Ambra from Your Concordia.
Sabrina is an involved student in the engineering community, in fact she has been a strong community pillar since her beginning among us in 2008. Involved in Frosh, VP Social of CUBES, employee of the B-annex and member of prestigious Garnet Key Society (Concordia’s official honour society). If getting involved in student life is not enough, she also has done her fair share for the community. In 2009-2010 she represented us on the CSU council and was vocal and critical of her executive in meetings. She was also one of the councillors who supported Le Frigo Vert by putting their question for a fee levee on the referendum ballot, and supporting the motion to call a special meeting for Le Frigo Vert to present their signatures and defend their case.
I know Sabrina will use her previous experience on council to address the areas that need improving. She is honest, dedicated and, most of all, passionate about the Concordia community. Please, get informed; you will see the choice is not hard to make.—Mathieu Dumais-Savard,
