Lights on Peel tell the story of the Mohawk Clan system
The initiative was inspired by recent archaeological discoveries made of the remains of an Indigenous village on Peel Street. Lights on Peel marks an important first step in the collaboration between city officials and Indigenous peoples to honour and preserve the culture and influence of Indigenous tribes in Tiohti:áke.
