Library Responds

In Vol.31, Iss. 26 of The Link, Elpida Gianopoulos wrote an opinions article expressing that students should be allowed to eat in the library.

I want to thank you for your feedback, Elpida. I understand your point of view, and I can assure that you are not alone. The library is a public space that has its own general principles of conduct.

Unfortunately, ants, fruit-flies, garbage, odor problems and spills sadly do happen on a daily basis in our libraries. We receive more student complaints about food than about food prevention. Our staff members are doing a great job to ensure you have access to a safe and clean environment. We always appreciate hearing from students about their library experience.
