During the Quebec Ministry of Education’s hearing on education, Concordia proposed a 144 per cent increase in tuition fees to meet the Canadian average—$5,329 per year.

While I am proud to be an alumnus of Concordia University, and while I endorse the socially and environmentally progressive views that have shaped many of the university policies, I find the petition to ban bottled water to be misguided in the extreme.

Firstly, with our nation at war and no leader with any vision federally or provincially in sight, the humour section of The Link was deeply appreciated. Humour is the most difficult writing to create, as it is very easy to report tragedy.

Frigo won’t go away
Given that campus papers could have done a better job keeping up journalistic standards, and since representatives and administrators could have been more considerate and responsible, one could easily make the case that Le Frigo Vert lost its bid unfairly. But I would not say so. I would say that the Frigo has not lost at all.

CSU president-elect weighs in
After serving Concordia students for a year, I prepare myself to put an end to one journey and start another. Over the course of the 2009-10 academic year, it has been a pleasure to serve as the VP Services and Loyola at the Concordia Student Union—one of my highest privileges to this day.
