Retraction: This article has been taken down due to misinterpretations of the interviews with the organizers. The piece detailed what happened at an event called, “Holding Space,” which was held on March 10 at the South Asian Women’s Community Centre, by the South Asian Youth Collective. After discussions with the organizers, author, and editorial team, it was decided that the best course of action would be to publish a retraction.
