Your Concordia For Me

Through my experience at Concordia’s Grey Nuns Residence, I have been able to get to know Your Concordia’s Arts and Science Councillor Candidate Tally Shaaked. She who has been a loyal friend since we first met at Residence Colour Wars, an event orchestrated by Your Concordia executive candidate Laura Glover.

Tally is one of the people whom I feel has done a great job at shaping my amazing experience thus far at Concordia.

My first student activist experience was with Shaaked at WHALE; it was inspiring to see such passion in a person willing to stand up for what they believe in. Shaaked’s critical thinking and strong sense of justice are exactly in line with Your Concordia’s principals, which rely on a foundation of loyalty to the student body through communication, understanding and action.

I am confident that the Your Concordia slate has the best interests of all students in mind; voting for a team with the right morals and passionate candidates will be exceptionally innovative to the Concordia Student Union, who has seen a history of corruption and mismanagement. I am confident that Shaaked will represent me correctly and responsibly. Putting her alongside a real slate of executives is a key in order to see Concordia finally shape its student union to make some positive steps forward for everyone.

I would much rather see a responsible team who is expressive of their platform, the most visible part of their campaign in the CSU, rather then vote for a team based on seeing them dancing and laughing to an upbeat Top-40 hit.

I am voting for Your Concordia for next year’s CSU and I invite you to do the same. Check out YourConcordia.ca to find out more!
