Vigil for Elisapee Pootoogook

On Monday, November 22nd, hundreds of individuals gathered at Cabot Square to honour the memory of Elisapee Pootoogook, a houseless Inuk elder, who was found dead on the construction site of luxury condo towers. Advocates and supporters demanded funding for better and permanent shelter for houseless individuals. Following the memorial, the crowd marched to the site Pootoogook was found, to lay down flowers in her honour.
