Action!

This past year, I had the pleasure of working alongside Anthony D’Urbano, a candidate for CSU council with Action, as executives of Commerce and Administration Students Association.

Throughout his mandate, Anthony has demonstrated a passion and desire to represent students, enhance student life and make the college experience a memorable one for JMSB students.

Anthony has an incredible work ethic and he has compromised his sleep, study time and personal time to ensure that he not only fulfilled his mandate as CASA VP Events, but also to go beyond his obligations for the benefit of the students. I have no doubt that Anthony will voice the opinions of students at CSU Council and ensure that JMSB students receive proper representation.

I have also had the pleasure of working with Amanda Cabiakman, as she is set to succeed me as CASA VP External. Throughout her tenure at Concordia, Amanda has represented JMSB in numerous case competitions. She has been a model contributor at the John Molson Marketing Association, and her ability to never back down from a challenge and always speak her mind leads me to believe that she is a perfect candidate to represent students within the Board of Governors.

During my time at Concordia, I have also had the pleasure of working with, and getting to know, Maxime Morin, Gregory Synanidis, Ariel Dabora, Stephanie Laurin, Mahmoud Abdelrahman, Danny Shakibaian, Tanya Ng and Leslie Reifer. I can personally vouch for each and every one of them, as they have been involved in student life at JMSB not for their own benefit, but for the benefit of the student body. I have no doubt that they will serve JMSB and the Concordia community to the fullest.

With that being said, I urge students to have their voices heard and to vote in the CSU elections between March 29 and March 31. I also strongly encourage students to consider voting for Action and the aforementioned JMSB candidates, as their track records and desire to contribute to the betterment of the university speaks for itself.
