After reviving their season with a six-game winning streak, the Concordia Stingers men’s basketball team has lost three straight games, including back-to-back losses to the Bishop’s Gaiters this past weekend.

The Stingers dropped Friday’s game by a score of 73-64, and despite their valiant comeback effort Saturday, they lost again 64-61.

After being unbeaten in 2014 up until now, the Stingers now have a .500 record at 6-6.

“We didn’t do the things that we needed to do these last two games,” said Mukiya Post, who scored 20 points off the bench Saturday afternoon.

Both teams kept it close on Friday, but the Gaiters almost ran away with the game on Saturday, ending the first quarter up 20-8.

The Stingers made a game of it off the strength of Post’s 20 points and Jean-André Moussignac’s 15, including four three-pointers. In the end though, the Stingers couldn’t get the win.

The Stingers will play host to the UQAM Citadins on Thursday, Feb. 13th at 8 p.m., before playing at Laval Saturday evening.
