Charlie Brenchley for ASFA President

I am proud and excited to endorse Charlie Brenchley as President of the Arts and Science Federation of Associations for the 2012-13 academic year.

I have had the opportunity to work alongside him on our department association, the School of Community and Public Affairs Student Association, where his contributions have been essential to the success of our executive team.

On the executive of the SCPASA, Brenchley has worked extensively over two of our annual budgets, has engaged in bylaw reforms, has organized our biggest social events, and has collaborated with our department to reach a shared-space agreement for our association.

He has facilitated executive meetings and represented us at the ASFA Council with diligence, and care. Representatives from other member associations have told me that this year he has been the voice of reason on Council during the sometimes tedious discussions, and I don’t doubt it.

Brenchley knows the ins and outs of ASFA having been on a member association, and he is also familiar with the dynamics of ASFA Council and its standing committees.

He has proven to be an organized, hardworking, and a reliable executive. He is personable, a great listener and knows how to bring groups of people together.

Brenchley’s dedication to students and the issues that affect them are inspiring to me and to those who have had the privilege to work with him.

I strongly believe that Brenchley’s knowledge, work ethic, leadership skills, and commitment to his peers would make him the ideal candidate for this position. On Feb. 15, 16 and 17, don’t forget to cast your ballot for Charlie Brenchley.

A vote for Brenchley is a vote for dedication, leadership and experience.
